Creekside Campground Review
This was a great little park! We stopped for an overnighter on the way back to Homebase from our lovely adventures in Pennsylvania.
It was quiet enough here to hear the creek that bubbled over rocks behind the second row of sites. We did not have a creekside site but we booked last minute.
Although it has only 36 sites, some with 50AMP hookups but not all. Tent campers are welcome here as well. All the sites seem to be different sizes but it does add to the charm of the location. The sites are close together but very well shaded and level. The water pressure was high so make sure you use your pressure regulator.
The website and RV Trip Wizard state that this campground has showers, restroom,s and laundry but we did not utilize these facilities.
We were bee-lining it to Homebase so we did not even visit Walmart in this city. Creekside Campground’s website says the Shenandoah Caverns, Shenandoah Battlefields, and Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail are local attractions.
When we are traveling our 300 miles by 3PM, our goal is to spend as close to $35 per night in a park with at least 3.5 stars. This campground was a find! It was originally $42.00 per night but we used our Good Sam membership for 10% off. The camp host was very nice and helpful.
Destinations Near the Campground
We were not able to use the campground wifi. We were able to get a full AT&T signal and some Verizon signal.
Would we book here again?
We will book here again. We recommend others book here as well.
